If you are a company involved in the homebuilding industry or you supply a trade service to your customers, you can not only donate time to help on-site, but you can also provide Habitat for Humanity with much-needed donations of building materials (lumber, drywall, paint) and/or labour (plumbing, electrical). Habitat Huronia can also issue a Gift-In-Kind (GIK) tax receipt for materials so that your donation provides you with a tax benefit. Please contact [email protected] for more information.

The high cost of land in the Barrie area is one of the many stumbling blocks to building affordable housing. For the most part, Habitat Huronia must purchase land on the open market.

We are currently looking for residential property appropriate for a 1,100 square foot bungalow and townhomes to make the dream of homeownership come true for a family in our community. Please help us build homes and hope, and break the cycle of poverty by donating your property or the funds to buy more land. The Steering Committee determines whether or not the property is suitable for one of our builds.
